Becoming a Wise, Wealthy Woman
Apr 16, 2026I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the word wisdom.
Not knowledge. Not information. Not strategies. Wisdom.
What does Being Wise and Wealth Mean?
Recently I had this moment where I was playing around with some t-shirt ideas (fun money merch), and the phrase “wise, wealthy woman” came up.
It made me think - what does that actually mean?
Because I think most women would hear that and go, “Yeah… that’s not me.”
And I don’t believe that’s true.
I think the problem is we’ve been taught to measure ourselves in very narrow ways. So, if you’ve ever thought:
- “I’m not good with numbers”
- “I’ve never been great with money”
- “I should be further along by now”
You’ve probably taken one small part of your life… and used it to define your entire capability. Which isn't being far to you.
Because I can almost guarantee that same woman is:
- Running a business
- Managing a household
- Solving problems daily
- Supporting everyone else
But when it comes to money? Suddenly she’s “not capable.”
What’s actually happening is this: you’ve got knowledge… that you’re not using.
And that gap creates guilt, which turns into avoidance, which then reinforces the belief that “you’re not good with money.”
It’s a loop.
Sometimes it’s not that you don’t know what to do, it’s that:
- You’re overwhelmed by too much information
- You don’t know where to start
- Or you’re trying to do everything at once
So instead… you do nothing. It’s like trying to eat a watermelon whole, which of course you can’t.
But you could cut it into pieces.
Having a Pathway between Cashflow and Wealth
This is what I see all the time. Women either jump to:
- “I need to start investing”
OR - “I need to fix my spending”
But they don’t connect the two. And that’s where things fall apart, because:
- If your cash flow isn’t working → you won’t have money to invest
- If you’re not building wealth → your money has no direction
You need both. But you don't have to fix both at the same time. You just need to know there is a pathway between the two. Then for now, you focus on that one next step that helps you get closer to bringing these pathways into alignment.
Resetting Your Nervous System
Your nervous system plays a huge role in this. If you’re used to feeling stressed about money, your body will actually try to keep you there, even if things improve.
Even if you do start managing things better, something will often happen… and you’ll go straight back into stress. Because that’s what feels familiar.
So, part of this work is learning how to feel safe with money. Not perfect. Not “on top of everything.” Just… safe.
That might look like:
- Actually looking at your numbers (instead of avoiding them)
- Having conversations about money
- Letting yourself imagine what it feels like to feel calm about money.
Because right now, your body might not even know what that feels like, and that’s a problem.
So, if I bring this all together…
- You don’t need to become someone else to be “good with money.”
- You don’t need to learn everything.
- You don’t need to overhaul your entire life.
Instead, look at:
- Using what you already know
- Focusing on one step at a time
- Creating a connection between your money now and your future
- Starting to train your nervous system to feel safe
That’s it. Simple. Not necessarily easy… but simple.
And that’s where wisdom actually comes from.
